Lessons from 2023
1. Read slow and read twice

I’ve learned my lesson this year. I have chased reading far too long and I now firmly believe that slow reading and reading again makes me wiser and gives me space to take action precisely because I remember more when I read slow and read twice. Try it.

2. Less is more

I’m a knowledge geek. I work on multiple projects altogether. I would read three books at the same time. I lack discipline when it comes to gathering knowledge because I’m literally seeking knowledge from the slightest window possible. And I love it, however, this has led me to keep me occupied and another loving affair of mine is to sit and do nothing. Therefore, I have now decided to keep my activities limited. Keep my reading list limited. And keep my less of stuff be zoomed in more. Thus, keeping more of that “less” I need.

3. Consistency

Every single and small achievement I ever had is the result of keeping doing it. Keep writing. Keep creating content. Keep publishing book. Keep my career and family in my top priority. All this is result of those little actions I take every day, no matter the intensity but I like doing it time and time again. Be consistent in whatever “less” things you will be doing and you will see the results.

4. Don’t chase success

Somehow, I have realized that success and fame aren’t as sexy as they sound. If they come to you, great. Cherish them and be grateful. But if they don’t, then keep doing your work and be grateful. There’s a lot of power in that latter word.

5. Meditate

Nothing is more important than this and I have nothing more to say on this subject.

Would you meditate this year?
