J. Krishnamurti on Observation
"Observation without evaluation is the highest form of intelligence. When we observe without the filter of our own biases, opinions, and judgments, we see things as they truly are. This pure observation allows us to understand the nature of our thoughts and feelings without distortion. It is through such clear perception that we can achieve true insight and freedom from our conditioned responses."
A Poem
Whispers of the Unseen
In the quiet moments, still and pure,
Where silence speaks, and thoughts demure,
Observe the world with open eyes,
See the truth beneath the skies.
The rustling leaves, the morning dew,
Each moment fresh, each sight anew,
No judgments cast, no shadows fall,
Just witness life, embrace it all.
In every breath, in every glance,
Find the dance of life's expanse,
A tapestry of now and here.
Seen through the lens of presence clear.
Mindful-Meditation
Find a quiet place where you can sit comfortably and undisturbed. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, allowing your body to relax with each exhale.
Bring your attention to your breath, noticing the rise and fall of your chest. Feel the air entering and leaving your nostrils. Let your breath be natural, without trying to control it.
Now, gently open your eyes and choose an object in your surroundings to focus on. It could be a plant, a candle, or even a spot on the wall. Allow your gaze to rest on this object without straining.
Observe this object as if you are seeing it for the first time. Notice its color, shape, texture, and any details that come to your awareness. Let go of any labels or names you associate with it. Simply observe.
If your mind starts to wander, gently bring it back to the object. Allow yourself to be fully present in this moment of observation, free from judgment or analysis.
After a few minutes, close your eyes again and bring your attention back to your breath. Notice any changes in your state of mind or body. Take a moment to appreciate the clarity and calmness that comes from pure observation.
When you're ready, slowly open your eyes and carry this sense of mindful observation with you into your day. Notice how this practice of observing without evaluation can transform your experience of the world around you.
