What am I reading?

The Top Five Regrets of the Dying: A Life Transformed by the Dearly Departing

I learned about this book through a WhatsApp group, which briefly discussed the profound insights into death shared by a woman who worked in palliative care, recounting the last words spoken by people in their final moments.

Breaking negative patterns:

I have negative thoughts. Simple. How do I break them? Here’s what I’m practising.

  1. Being watchful to them when they come to my mind and they usually comes when you are not.

  2. Noting them down on a notepad.

  3. Now, write the opposite. Write your positive emotions, your victories, things you are grateful about, and most importantly your vision.

  4. Keep these above notes handy with you, on your mobile screen, sticky notes etc.

  5. Every time you have this urge to go back to your past negative state of mind. I want you to yell these counters out loud in your mind and in your heart.

My all time favourite quote:

“All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.”

— Blaise Pascal
